雕塑是造型艺术中与材料最直接相关的一门艺术,虽然材料只是一种媒介,但在
雕塑的审美中,材料占有重要的位置,没有它,美就没有形象性、具体性和直观性,就不能作用于人的感观而成为审美对象。由于雕塑形象的呈现是借助物质材料而呈现的,材料本身的表面肌理也构成了形象呈现的一个方面,使得与触觉相联系的质感具有了审美的意义。但另一方面,在传统雕塑中,材料本身质地与雕塑作品二者的审美结果不一定成正比的。一件大理石的作品或许是失败的,一件泥制的作品可能是杰出 的。综合材料 并不是很简单的一门课程,其实是有相当的学问在里面,看完这幅巨作后,我真的不得不感叹人的智慧与毅力,向我们这些微不足道的无名小卒更要时时刻刻的想时代的前沿看齐,更要学习毅力。
